Caring for someone with multiple disabilities often places an enormous strain on even the most dedicated family. We can help.

Birmingham Multi-Care, a subsidiary of Midland Mencap, provides a range of care and support services to children, young people, adults and family carers across Birmingham.  Our services, for people with learning disabilities and associated circumstances, include home based care and support, short breaks and access to community based social, leisure and recreational day and evening opportunities for both children and adults.

What Services do we provide?

Care and Support in the Home

This is a Care Quality Commission regulated service rated that provides a full range of home based care and support services, for both children and adults and is tailored to your specific needs.

The service is flexible and person centred ensuring that you get the right amount of support at the right time.

Domiciliary Care Service – Care Quality Commission Rated ‘Good’

Respite Care Service

We provide 8 respite care beds in our two care homes in Erdington and Acocks Green.  This is also a Care Quality Commission regulated service offering high quality respite provision seven days a week.

Greswolde Road Respite -Care Quality Commission Rated ‘Good’

Silver Birch Respite – Care Quality Commission Rated ‘Good’

Asha House

Based at Braithwaite Road, Sparkbrook, this day opportunities service supports women from the South East Asian community and offers access to a wide range of community social, leisure and recreational activity promoting well-being and active lifestyles.

A charge is made for this service, of £9.75 an hour or £58.50 per day.

The service is available from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday

Day and Evening Opportunities

We run group activities for children, young people and adults offering access to a range of community based social, leisure hobbies and recreational opportunities.

We also work closely with Midland Mencap offering all of our citizens access to the day and evening opportunities run directly by Midland Mencap, more information on those opportunities can be found here please contact Midland Mencap directly on 0121 442 2944 for information about these services.

Family Carers

We can offer a comprehensive sign-posting service to Midland Mencap Family Care Support Team and to the Carers Emergency Response Service (CERS) for carers looking for information, advice or support in their caring role OR you can contact both teams directly at Midland Mencap on 0121 442 2944.
