Meet the Adult Community Hub and Sports Team

When Midland Mencap was founded by parent and family carers 72 years ago, at the heart of their vision was creating a safe place for the children to socialise, make new friendships, share experiences and develop their skills…

…fast forward to today and we have continued to build on this legacy through our network of Community Hubs – The Community Hub offer is not one single place or building, but many places in the Community across Birmingham, Walsall and Coventry.

Some activities are in own buildings, such as the Weoley Castle Community Centre (South Birmingham), Clifton Road Outdoor Activity Centre (North Birmingham) and the Walsall Disability Hub; but also in many partners buildings like the Coventry Boys and Girls Club, or local swimming pools and sports grounds, or simply social places and spaces we all use, like cinemas, restaurants or parks.

So if you live in Birmingham, Walsall or Coventry and you are looking to develop your skills, meet new people, improve your physical and mental wellbeing, while having fun, then come and join us at one of our many, friendly and inclusive community hub activities.
