Training Tiers
The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism comes in two Tiers of training. Staff will undertake Tier 1 or Tier 2, depending on their role.
Tier 1
Tier 1 of The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is for people who require general awareness of the support autistic people with a learning disability may need.
Tier 2

Tier 2 of The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is for people who may need to provide care and support for autistic people or people with a learning disability.
Training Structure
The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is standardised and to complete it individuals must:
Complete the elearning package – everyone will need to do the elearning no matter where they work and what tier they need to complete. This can be completed by clicking the link below:
Tier 1
the 1 hour online interactive session co-delivered by a person with a learning disability and an autistic person along a lead trainer to help and support.
Tier 2
the 1 day face to face training co-delivered a person with a learning disability and an autistic person and a lead trainer to help and support.
For the avoidance of doubt, staff needing Tier 2 training do not need to complete Tier 1 training first. Tier 2 training contains the Tier 1 material required.

We can accommodate up to 26 attendees on our premises for training if you’re looking for your whole team to undertake the training. We are also happy to come out to deliver training on your own premises. We deliver training to internal staff, so there’s also the option of booking individual staff onto an internal session.

Off-site Delivery & Travel Costs:
We are pleased to offer training delivered at your premises. Please note that when we are asked to deliver off-site, additional travel and associated expenses will be factored into the cost. We will provide a tailored quote based on location, distance, and any other relevant logistics before confirming the booking.
