Children and Young People Services
Are you the parent or carer of a young person with learning disabilities aged 5 – 19? Are you looking for fun and inclusive opportunities and activities which will enable your child to make new friends and develop their skills? If yes, then look no further!
Our group based or one-to-one provision is for children between 5-19, with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental health conditions and other associated disorders.
Midland Mencap’s service helps young people make friends, have fun and grow in their social and emotional wellbeing.
Short Breaks
Midland Mencap offer short break sessions for children and young people in the Worcestershire area on weekends, after school and school holidays. These building based group sessions are fun and inclusive for children aged up to 19. Accessing local community ammenity, arts and crafts, sport, cycling and community visits
Community Based Sessions for Adults
Introducing Adult Day Opportunities in Worcester and North Worcestershire for adults with learning disability and autism. We are pleased to bring new person-centred and user-led day opportunities to the region and will be providing a range of day opportunities for adults in Worcester.
Sessions will be every Monday to Friday and will include activities like meals out, bowling, Cinema trips, rock climbing, cycling and much more! (Venues and times to be confirmed)

Domiciliary Care
Midland Mencap is commissioned by the local authority to provide domiciliary care to children in the home. This support can involve supporting a young person to get up and ready for school, or getting home and ready for bed. This support can also be added onto a short break to enable the young person to have their personal care needs met and then have a meaningful activity to do and provide respite for the family.
